Kristin Fischer will join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She covers everything, from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of Space Tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as an avid space fan was raised in the field. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Trump and Biden Administrations. In that period, Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and the efforts of two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before being hired by the network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in the year 2014. The firm specialized on producing documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
